Here are a few examples of things you can write. These were written for someone's site who was very depressed and thinking about cutting them selves.

Hello, I was just reading your entries. there a lot of people out there like you, and I'm sorry to see that things aren't going too well with you. Just a little encouragement - the things that will totally make you feel better are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (found in Galatians of the Bible). If you practice every one of these things you will only get a lot more in life. you will be rewarded, but all of this comes from God. all you have to do is ask, not doubting, and you will receive it (James 1: 5 and Matthew 21:22) I'm here if you ever want to talk.

Quoting God's word is good we all need God's word.but not too much. many unsaved people don't have a Bible and the reference is wasted. This person did a good job of mixing their own words with God's word.The main thing here is this person read some their entries. They got to know the person.

You're right; sometimes life can be very difficult. Sometimes it seems like everyone has forgotten about you, or doesn't care. But I'd like to tell you that we care. My friends and me all care and are praying for you. You are not forgotten. You are cared for.

This person agrees with what was written. you don't want the person to feel like their wrong for feeling like they do. Without Jesus in your life you can have many feelings that are not good. Never put anyone down for how they feel. this is the fastest way to get them to stop listening to you.

HI there. Suicide is a very serious thing. But trust me there is more to life than you know. I am very sorry to hear about your mom. Mine had such a serious heart attack she is now a vegetable. She does not even know who I am any more. I am not sure which is worse. Not having her here alive or her looking at me and not knowing who I am.
I know a lot of people who do not even know you right now who are praying for you and although we never met we would all be very sad if any thing happened to you. I am not sure what kind of people you think Christians are but I have to say we get a lot of bad press. There are nuts out there who decide to do stupid things and say that God told them or they don?t understand what the bible said and then said "well it says that in the bible"
As Christians it is our job to introduce you to Jesus. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that we are to tell you how to live your life. Actually the Bible tells us not to tell people how to live their lives or what they are doing is right or wrong. We are not to judge. Just introduce you to Jesus. But being silly humans as we are, we fell like we have to put our two cents in. Like God needs our help.. yea right.. He can create the world but can't get any further unless I butt in. NOT...
One thing Jesus did tell us to do is love one another. So there is a group of us who are praying for you and we care what happens to you. Feel free to comment back or email me.

Now this person used a story about their Mom to show they have had a rocky road in their life. People need to know that just because we are Christians we are not clear of bad days. We just know where to go when we have one. This person also pointed out that their are people out there who have given Christians a bad name. Going to someone's site and saying something like "change you ways or you will die in hell" is not going to save anyone. Most people are turned off by this. Unless you walk a perfect life and you have NO PROBLEMS in your life you can not tell people how to live their lives. Our job is to introduce people to Jesus. The holy spirit will convict them and they will see the difference with God's help. You know kinda like when you read a verse and you smack your head and say "Man that's me , wow I need to change that in my life"

These examples are just some of the things you could write. You need to read some of their site and try to understand where they are coming from. They made just need a friend. let them ask you why you care or why you are different. BINGO prime time to say ..I'm a Christian. Remember they will know us by our fruit. What kind of fruit are you?
